Set controls on smartphones and tablets
Create a safe space for kids to explore a range of Samsung smartphones and tablets with these simple steps.
Galaxy for families
Parents, carers and guardians can create a Samsung Child Account to set up filters on website content (Samsung Internet), app downloads and purchases (Galaxy Store) as well as location sharing with family members for children’s devices.
Samsung smartphones also offer easy access to Google Family Link parental controls to manage children’s screen time and set up restrictions on online content as well as app downloads and purchase restrictions for Google’s internet browser (Chrome) and app store (Play Store).
There are also other useful features such as call and text filtering, privacy dashboards, creating secure folders and setting up SOS messages that parents, carers and guardians can access without the need to create a separate child’s account.

Samsung Kids
Samsung Kids is a great way to turn your device into a safe space for your children to play and learn online.
The Samsung Kids app comes pre-installed on Samsung smartphones and tablets (with Android 9.0 or higher) and is easily accessible from your Quick panel. It allows parents, carers and guardians to set usage time limits and restrict access to selected apps and contacts all protected by a secure PIN or biometrics. The app also has a range of fun child-friendly features and over 2,500 unique education and recreational apps.
Key features
You can create a secure environment for them to explore by setting up a PIN code lock to keep harmful content out of their reach.
You can set limits on your child’s usage and customise the content and apps they can access.
It allows children to navigate easily and discover a range of animations and play with a range of colourful characters. They can also create their own avatar and use the Kids Camera and Kids Magic Voice to get creative and express themselves.
There is something for everyone with over 2,500 specially-selected apps in the Kids Store. Among those, children can use apps to learn languages, master maths and play a host of games from the likes of Lego.
