Sangeet Bhullar, PhD
Dr Sangeet Bhullar is the Founder and Executive Director of WISE KIDS, a non-profit established in 2002 to support children and young people, families and professionals to navigate the digital world with confidence, critical thinking and wellbeing. With over 23 years’ experience, her expertise spans digital and AI literacy, digital citizenship, online safety and the ways digital platforms, systems and communities shape young people’s lives.
Through training, research-informed educational programmes and practical resources, Sangeet has worked with thousands of young people, parents, carers and professionals across the UK and internationally. Her work addresses both the opportunities and challenges of digital life, including online influence, misinformation, extremist narratives, AI and digital wellbeing. She is currently leading a North Wales project, drawing on insights from young people and practitioners to develop bilingual educational resources and training that strengthen resilience to online radicalisation and related harms. Central to her approach is the belief that young people should not only be protected from online harm, but empowered with the knowledge, values and skills to participate confidently, critically and responsibly.
Sangeet is a member of the Welsh Government’s Digital Inclusion Advisory Board. She has previously served in an advisory role on a University of Oxford research project focused on equity in educational technology and is currently a member of the advisory group for a University of York research project on wellbeing-centred online media literacy in schools.
