Helplines

Do you need to talk to someone about something that you’ve experienced online? Here are our recommended list of helplines to get one-to-one support.

Childline offers text, online forums and helplines for under 18s – 0800 1111 (open 24 hours)

Stop Hate UK provide a helpline ‘Call Hate Out’ and tools to report hate crime online.

The Mix provides a  helpline for under 25s – 0808 808 4994

Shout 85258 is a free, confidential, 24/7 text-messaging support service for anyone.

Samaritans is a helpline for anyone who is struggling to cope – (116 123 – free 24hour)

Muslim youth helpline – 0808 808 2008 (4pm – 10 pm / 7 days)

Coram Voice – 0808 800 5792 (9.30 – 6 pm weekdays)

Lifeline is available 24/7 – 020 3137 6818 (Northern Ireland)

Mindline Trans+ (England and Wales) – helpline for trans, non-binary and their family and friends – 0300 330 5468 – open Mon-Friday 8 pm-midnight
