What we are doing together

Sky continues to support our campaigns and showcase our resources across their channels, including website, TV and print advertising and product packaging to help raise awareness of online safety across their customer base.

Offering advice at the right time

Sky has supported coding initiatives to inspire digital skills in young people. We also collaborated together to create a joint guidebook with Mumsnet on the dangers of digital piracy for parents – offering our resources at key touchpoints for free.

Empowering people with hands-on support

Sky continues to invest in its award-winning safety products. Sky Broadband Shield is offered free to all of their customers and is applied by default meaning the greatest possible number of customers are protected.

Sky is committed to helping our customers stay safe online. Education is a key part of that and we are proud to work with Internet Matters to ensure parents have the best advice and resources possible to enable their children to safely enjoy the positive benefits of technology. This work complements the legislative proposals we have called on Government to take to ensure we are all best protected from online harms.

Why we support Internet Matters

Whilst the internet offers great opportunities, risks of online harm will always be present. As founding members, Sky helped set up Internet Matters and supported early calls for legislation to keep children safe online, which contributed to the development of the Online Safety Act (2023).
