What we are doing together

Children should be able to grow up safely and responsibly in the digital world. Parents want their children to embrace the opportunities technology offers, while also being mindful of the risks and challenges it presents, such as online safety and maintaining digital balance. Odido’s mission is to make technology more human, ensuring that it serves people, not the other way around. For children, this means being able to navigate the digital world step by step, responsibly, and at their own pace.

That is why Odido collaborates with Internet Matters. Together, we have developed a practical guide offering tips and advice on screen time, online behaviour, and digital risks. This guide provides parents with concrete tools to engage in meaningful conversations with their children in ways that reflect their age and lifestyle. Through this initiative, Odido partners with parents to foster a safe and conscious online environment for every child in the Netherlands.

Humanising technology

Odido is committed to humanising technology and takes responsibility by supporting initiatives that promote conscious and healthy phone use. For example, we partner with Dutch non-profit organisations Join Us and MIND Us to help reduce loneliness among young people. Odido also introduced Het Telefoonboekje: the first reading book in smartphone format, designed to encourage reading among schoolchildren and counter excessive screen time. Odido also wants to challenge young people to go offline temporarily and get active.
