Online Safety Champion Competition – Terms & Conditions<\/h1>\n

Introduction<\/h2>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”” el_class=”intro-text”]By participating in the competition, you are agreeing to these terms and conditions. The competition is being run by Internet Matters Limited.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text el_class=”section-title”]<\/p>\n

Eligibility to enter<\/h2>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”” el_class=”intro-text”]The competition is open to entrants who are both UK residents and over 18 years of age. Entry is limited to upper primary classes at primary schools in the UK (in England, this means Year 5 and 6, in other UK countries, this means the last 2 years of primary school). Internet Matters Limited employees and associates are excluded from the competition.<\/p>\n

The competition is free to enter.<\/p>\n

By entering the competition, you confirm that your class and school are eligible to do so and that you are eligible to receive any prizes that may be awarded to you.<\/p>\n

The competition will start on 24th April 2025 and end on 20th June 2025. A school may make separate batches of entries for different classes, however, an individual pupil may only enter once. Entrants should only enter by post or online; entries using both methods will not be considered.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”” el_class=”section-title”]<\/p>\n

Entering the competition by post<\/h2>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”” el_class=”intro-text”]Those entering via post must send their entries to Internet Matters Ltd, Faraday Building, 1 Knightrider St, London EC4V 5AF. Entries must be received by 20th June 2025.<\/p>\n

Entries should include the questionnaire and character template for each pupil, as well as a covering form for each batch of entries, which contains the full name of the teacher entering on behalf of the class, the school’s name, their school email address and contact number.<\/p>\n

Pupils should include their own name, with every question of the questionnaire completed.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”” el_class=”section-title”]<\/p>\n

Entering the competition online<\/h2>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”” el_class=”intro-text”]Teachers entering on behalf of pupils must provide their full name and email address via the competition entry form hosted at https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/1Kd-omb115BR5TI8mUPl0Cw2QtN5lDSdsro5uQVYmMDY\/viewform?edit_requested=true<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Entrants must use a school email address to enter the competition.<\/p>\n

Individual pupil\u2019s entries should include a completed questionnaire and character template.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”” el_class=”section-title”]<\/p>\n

The Prize<\/h2>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”” el_class=”intro-text”]The prizes are being donated by Tesco Mobile, sponsors of Digital Matters.<\/p>\n

The winning pupil\u2019s school will be awarded a \u00a37,000 donation and a \u00a3500 Tesco Gift Card. The school will also be offered a free storytelling and illustration workshop, delivered by Rob Biddulph.<\/p>\n

The entry awarded second place will be awarded a \u00a34,500 donation and a \u00a3500 Tesco Gift Card for their school.<\/p>\n

The awarded third place will be awarded a \u00a32,000 donation and a \u00a3500 Tesco Gift Card for their school.<\/p>\n

The prizes ae non-transferable and non-exchangeable, and no cash alternatives for the gift cards will be provided.<\/p>\n

We reserve the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value if circumstances beyond our control require doing so.<\/p>\n

Internet Matters Limited’s decision on any aspect of the competitions is final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into about it.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”” el_class=”section-title”]<\/p>\n

Winner Selection and Communication<\/h2>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”” el_class=”intro-text”]The winning entry will be chosen by our judging panel, and the 3 winners (first, second and third place) will be notified via their teacher\u2019s email address that has been provided on the submission form by 8th July 2025.<\/p>\n

Pupils\u2019 entries will be judged by a panel from Internet Matters, Tesco Mobile and Rob Biddulph. The winner will be chosen based on:<\/p>\n
